My best friend passed away

I am soo sad! I had to put my best mate to sleep on Wednesday. Baxter was my shepherd mix and he was an amazing animal. he would have been 10 in November. He got acute leukemia and was so sick, he couldn't walk and was in so much pain. It was the most difficult decision I have ever had to make and the most heartrenching!! It is almost a week later and I am still crying and upset. I have to keep in my head that he is no longer in pain. Each day gets a little bit better, but it is going to take awhile and he will always be missed.

Cards Made using all my new SU stamp sets!!

A month or so ago, I went to a sale at my SU demonstrators home(Cindy Petersen). She was getting rid of all her old stuff to make room for all the stuff she was getting out of the new catalogue. I got some great deals and while I was there I entered her drawing for a $150 worth of free stuff. Guess who won?! Me!! I was so excited and I just got all my stuff last week, so of course with the long weekend I had to play. These are what I came up with. There are 11 different cards, 4 of each design. We will be selling them for Jessika's fundraiser.

Trinket box for Jess

Forever

Well, it has been forever since I posted. I have been busy getting Jess ready for all her trips this summer. She finally made it to Japan and had a blast. Now she wants to go back so we are busy making fundraising items. We are selling card keepers, Christmas cards and address books. I never want to see another card keeper as long as I live, but we are on our way to raising money. I will post pics of what we have been making soon!

Finally took pictures

I finally had a chance to take pictures of the projects I have been working on. The first set is little boxes of sweetheart candies I am making for Jessika's friends. They are all into the Japanese culture and I found these cute Geisha girl stamps from Hero Arts.

The next picture is a box I made for Jessika. She likes to give her favorite teachers stuff for the holidays and I thought these would be cute for any occasion.

Next are some cards I have been working on so that I have thank yous, birthday and just general cards on hand! I love thinking of the designs and seeing them come together.

This year Jessika turns 16 so I am going to throw a Japanese themed party. I was working on the invitations to see what design I wanted and settled on a kimono that I saw on Splitcoaststampers.com. Here are 3 of the designs, she still has to settle on which on she wants.

I thought I would try my hand at a Joy card, here is what I came up with.

The next are gift boxes that I made so that I can have a quick gift on hand. I also made this cute picture ornament. It is decorated on two sides and the other two you add photos.
